The main purpose of foundry laboratory is to contribute to an informed student learning of the Degree in Mechanical Engineering in this technological area particularly suitable for the manufacture of geometrically complex technical parts. The theoretical and theoretical-practical classes for the casting are, whenever possible, taught in this lab. In the first approach to this technology, students have the possibility of making a molding in green sand by the manual process from natural mold or wood, for the manufacture of one-piece aluminum alloy.
